Vendors and nudges

Track requests that wait on an outside company, and nudge the vendor in one click.

ForAgents; Jira admins maintain vendor records

Before you startAdd the vendor and verify who should receive its link.

  1. Open Waiting on, then Vendors. Choose "Add vendor" and add its contacts and how soon it usually promises a date.
  2. On a request, open the actions menu (…) and choose "Wait on a vendor". Pick the vendor, add their reference and the promised date.
  3. The request now shows the vendor as the one it waits on, and leaves your list until the date.
  4. Choose "Nudge" with the vendor's name, then "Copy links". Paste the links "Done on our side", "Need 2 more days" and "Need one more week" into your email.
  5. You can also post the links in a comment that everyone on the request can see.
  6. Waiting on, then Vendors, shows how often each vendor kept its promised date.

What you should see

The request records the vendor, reference, promised date and subsequent replies.

If something is not right

A vendor has not received the link. Copy links does not send email. Share the link with the intended contact using your approved channel.
