Overview numbers explained

Overview answers one question: are we OK? Every number says what it counts and what it is compared with.

ForAgents and managers

Before you startChoose the spaces and period you want to report on.

  1. The first line gives the answer in a sentence. Choose the info icon on a tile to see how it is worked out, or the tile to see the requests.
  2. "SLA met" counts resolved requests that never breached the SLA it names, such as "Time to resolution". It also says which spaces have that SLA.
  3. A change such as "+11 pts vs 1–31 Aug" compares with the period before and names its dates. A month compares with the month before, a quarter with the quarter before.
  4. Both periods count the requests active in them: created by the last day and not resolved before the first day. So "last period" matches that period's own view.
  5. With fewer than 10 requests on either side, a tile says "small sample" instead of showing a change.
  6. "Breached or about to breach" lists the open requests closest to breaching their SLA. Choose "Show all" to add the rest of this week.
  7. The SLA report sits at the bottom of Overview: SLA met by month, who requests waited on when they breached, and a breakdown by space or type. See "The SLA report".
  8. Times count business hours once a Jira admin saves them in Settings, then Time, then Business hours. Until then they count around the clock, and every export says which.
  9. The footnote says how many requests the numbers are based on. Above 1,000 requests it says "Based on the latest 1,000 of" the total.
  10. Choose Share to copy a summary, copy for Confluence, download Excel or CSV, copy the chart, print a page or copy a link. The SLA report has its own Share button.

What you should see

Each headline can be explained and traced to its matching requests.

If something is not right

Two reports show different totals. Compare spaces, dates, business-hours mode and any partial-data notice before comparing the numbers.
