Nudge other teams
When a request waits on another team, nudge that team in one click. The nudge goes where the team works, on its own task.
- Open a request that waits on another team and choose "Nudge" with the team name, such as "Nudge Finance". Check the message, then send it.
- The nudge is a comment on the other team's linked task. It mentions the person the task is assigned to, or the space lead if nobody is.
- The message says what is needed, for which request and since when. It asks the team to set a due date, which becomes your request's promised date.
- RequestOps sends at most one nudge per team, per request, per working day, and only in working hours. A person who is away is replaced by their cover.
- If nobody answers in 2 working days, the next nudge goes to the team contact, or to the space lead if the team has none.
- To nudge about many requests, set the "Who it waits on" filter in Requests to "Another team". Select the rows, then choose "Nudge". You can nudge up to 25 at a time.
- A Jira admin can turn on "Nudge automatically" under "Nudge other teams" in Settings, then Messages, then Nudges and messages. It is off until someone turns it on, and sends at most 30 a day.
- Nudges to other teams include the request's title. To leave it out, turn off "Include the request's title in nudges to other teams" in the same place.
- With "Show customers we nudged" on, the portal tells the customer when you last nudged, for example "We asked for an update today." It never names the team or a person.

What you should see
The nudge appears on the other team’s task and the request records when it was sent.
If something is not right
Nudge is unavailable. Read the reason shown. Check working hours, an earlier nudge today and access to the linked task.
