Set up RequestOps

Where your requests waited: your first look

On the first visit after install, RequestOps shows who your requests waited on in the last 90 days, from your Jira history.

ForJira admins reviewing a new installation

Before you startUse a space with request history and review the meaning of its statuses.

  1. The first time a Jira admin opens RequestOps, it opens Insights, then Waiting, with the last 90 days.
  2. RequestOps asks once what each status means: Auto (from the name), Your team, Customer, Approver, Another team, Vendor or Not waiting. It takes about 30 seconds, and you can change it later in Settings, then Time, then Waiting time.
  3. Then choose "Fix the biggest wait". It opens the requests it counted in Requests, oldest first, ready to ask or nudge. For a vendor wait, it marks them as waiting on the vendor you pick.
  4. People who upgraded from an earlier version see a short "What is new" instead.
  5. Press Ctrl+K and choose "Restart the tour" to see the tour again.

What you should see

Waiting separates time with your team from time waiting on others, with a link to the requests.

If something is not right

A status is assigned to the wrong party. Correct it in Settings, then Time, then Waiting time. Review the dates and selected spaces before comparing results.
