The waiting breakdown
See how much of a request's life was spent with your team, and how much waiting on someone else.
- Open Insights, then Waiting.
- The bar splits the time into your team, customers, approvers, other teams and vendors. The parts add up to 100%. Choose a part to see the open requests.
- On the first visit it shows the last 90 days from Jira history. From the day you install, RequestOps measures each wait as it happens.
- "Open now: where time sits" shows who holds open requests today, with the oldest wait.
- "Other teams" shows how long requests waited on each team. "Due dates kept" counts the team's tasks due in the period that were done by the due date.
- "Nudges" shows nudges per month and how many were answered within a working day. It also compares the wait on a team before and after its first nudge.
- With fewer than 10 nudges, it says there are too few to judge rather than showing a rate.
- Add a cost per hour in Settings, then Time, then Waiting time. "Cost of waiting" then shows the total for the period.
- Waiting shows the numbers over a period. To see the teams, approvers, vendors and customers your requests wait on right now, open Waiting on.
What you should see
You can identify the largest wait and open the requests behind it.
If something is not right
Waiting looks misclassified. Review status mappings in Settings, then Time, then Waiting time. Read any partial-history notice.
