Put RequestOps on a dashboard
RequestOps flow shows who your requests wait on, right on a Jira dashboard.
- RequestOps flow comes in two forms with the same content: the widget for Jira's new dashboards, and the gadget for classic dashboards. Classic gadgets do not show on the new dashboards, so pick the one that matches your dashboard.
- Classic dashboard: open the dashboard, choose Edit, then Add gadget. Search for "RequestOps flow" and add it.
- New dashboard: edit the dashboard, add a widget and choose "RequestOps flow".
- Spaces: one or several. With none chosen, it shows every service space you can see.
- Period: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, This month or Last month. Show SLA and volume: on unless you turn it off.
- On a classic dashboard, choose Save in the gadget. On a new dashboard, your choices show in the preview; use the dashboard's own Save to keep them.
- It shows one sentence on who requests waited on, and the waiting bar with each group's share. The shares add up to 100%.
- "Waiting on others this week" is compared with the week before (for Last 30 and Last 90 days).
- "Worth a nudge now" lists the three open requests waiting longest on another team, a vendor or an approver.
- The SLA and volume line reads, for example, "Time to resolution met 70% in the last 30 days, up 11 pts vs 8 Aug – 6 Sep · 12 resolved · 52 open now".
- If an SLA has nothing to measure it shows "–", never 0%. People without JSM agent access see "SLA: needs JSM agent access".
- "Updated 14:05 · Counted in business hours (Europe/Bucharest)", or "Counted around the clock" when the site has no business hours. The period and spaces are named with their dates at the top.
- Every number opens the matching view in RequestOps: Waiting or the SLA report in Insights, or the request list. The (i) button, "How this is counted", explains the numbers.
- It never animates. It refreshes when the dashboard refreshes. Numbers are kept for 15 minutes, so a refresh within 15 minutes shows the same "Updated" time.
- Business hours and waiting settings are kept for a day in your browser. Everyone sees only the requests they can see in Jira.
- If it says "RequestOps settings could not be read here", it counted around the clock with the standard status rules, so its numbers may differ from Insights.
What you should see
The dashboard shows the chosen spaces and period, with links to the related requests.
If something is not right
The gadget cannot be found. Check the dashboard type and installation. A classic gadget is not listed as a new-dashboard widget.
