Find requests with Jira search (JQL)
Search for requests by who they wait on, in Jira search, queues and saved filters.
- RequestOps adds search names to every request it reads. Use them in JQL, the query language of Jira search.
- requestopsWaitingOnKind is who the request waits on: your-team-assigned, your-team-queue, customer, approver, another-team, vendor or none.
- requestopsWaitingOnKey names the other team or the vendor. requestopsWaitingOnSince is when the wait started, and requestopsNudgedAt is the last nudge.
- For example, requestopsWaitingOnKind = "vendor" AND requestopsWaitingOnSince <= -3d finds requests that have waited on a vendor for 3 days or more.
- The values fill in when a request changes or is nudged. To fill in older requests, choose "Check existing requests" in Settings, then Get started.
- Saved filters that use the older names, such as requestopsParty or requestopsChasedAt, keep working.
- Settings, then Jira and data, then Jira fields and Automation, has ready-made searches you can copy.
What you should see
The search returns requests with the requested waiting state and age.
If something is not right
The query returns no older requests. Check the field names and run Check existing requests for the space if permitted.
