RequestOps Privacy Policy

Who we are

RequestOps is made by Unitlane Apps, operated by Jonas Nilsson, an individual in Sweden (no company). Contact: [email protected]. (As with the other Unitlane apps, contact is by email; no postal address is published.)

What RequestOps is

RequestOps is an app for Jira and Jira Service Management Cloud. It shows what is left on each request and who it is waiting on. Agents can Ask a customer or Nudge a person or team, and managers get Insights, including service-level (SLA) views.

The short version

  • RequestOps runs on Atlassian’s Forge platform. It makes no calls to servers outside Atlassian.
  • Unitlane Apps does not receive, copy or read your Jira data, and collects no telemetry or analytics.
  • Your data stays in your Atlassian site (Jira requests) and in Atlassian’s hosted app storage for your installation.

Data RequestOps processes

RequestOps reads requests, comments, statuses, fields, links, approvals and SLA information that its features need, using the permissions listed on the Marketplace page. Interactive screens follow the signed-in person’s own Jira access. Background features an administrator turns on run as the app.

RequestOps stores:

  • its settings: checklists, waiting rules, journeys, vendors, teams, campaigns, schedules, away dates, message library;
  • on each request: checklist progress, who it waits on and since when, due dates, and journey, vendor, deadline and review details;
  • Atlassian account IDs that identify contacts, reviewers, participants, message senders and people who are away or cover for others;
  • text that your people type into the app (for example checklist names, vendor names, message text);
  • messages waiting to be sent (until the short Undo period ends) and short-lived delivery records;
  • each person’s own small preferences (tour progress, display and learning choices) on their Jira profile or in app storage.

RequestOps does not intentionally collect passwords, access tokens, payment card data or special-category data. Free text typed by your people may contain personal data; please do not put sensitive data into names or labels.

When an agent sends an Ask or Nudge, RequestOps posts a Jira comment. Jira, not RequestOps, then notifies the recipient by its usual channels. Posting a comment does not guarantee the person receives or reads it.

Why we process it

Only to provide the app’s features to you: to show request status, send the messages your people choose to send, keep your settings, produce reports and exports, and keep the app secure and running. We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising or to train models.

Where it is stored

Atlassian Forge hosted storage and your Jira site. The app declares no external egress. Data location and residency follow Atlassian’s Forge rules for your site. Optional Rovo features run on Atlassian’s own Rovo service under your Atlassian terms.

Retention and deletion

  • Settings and request records are kept until you change or delete them in the app or in Jira, or the app is removed.
  • Pending-send records expire automatically (within about a day if unfinished, about an hour after sending). One-time response links are recorded for 30 days.
  • When you remove RequestOps, access stops. Atlassian manages retained app storage under its platform policy. Jira comments, tasks and request properties that RequestOps created remain in Jira until you remove them.
  • A Jira administrator can download the supported app-stored settings and preferences and erase a person’s account reference from them in Settings, Privacy and data. These controls do not cover every Jira comment, request property or typed text copy.
  • For other requests write to [email protected]. Because Unitlane Apps holds no copy of your Jira data, we will point you to the tools above or to Atlassian where that is where the data is.

Atlassian personal-data reporting

RequestOps regularly reports the Atlassian account IDs it stores to Atlassian’s personal-data reporting service and applies the instructions it gets back (for example, erasing a closed account from its records). It covers the app’s own supported stored records. We do not claim that this reaches every copy of every account in the app or in Jira.

Sharing

Atlassian is the platform provider and the only processor of app data. We do not share your data with other third parties. Support emails sent to us are handled in our email system and are used only to answer you.

Your rights

You can ask us about data we hold about you from support emails. For data inside a customer’s Jira site, the customer (your organisation) is normally the controller and Unitlane Apps acts as its processor under the Data Processing Addendum (https://unitlane.net/legal/requestops/dpa). Please contact your organisation’s Jira administrator first. If you are in the EU/EEA you may also complain to your data protection authority (in Sweden: Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).

Security

Changes

We will update this page and its date when it changes, and tell customers through the Marketplace listing for material changes.
